Awuael Organizes Two Workshops on Creativity and Innovation, and Grooming Family Leaders and Entrepreneurs
As part of its 2018 Development Program: Empowering Business Family Generations, on Saturday and Sunday, 21 and 22 April 2018 at Al-Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh, Awuael Holding held two workshops entitled "Creativity and Innovation" and "Grooming Family Leaders and Entrepreneurs".
Awuael welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the workshop providers and stressed the importance of the continuation of such workshops for its developmental benefits of business family members and Keeping abreast of everything new regarding their family and businesses.
Dr. Taghreed Almuqayteeb with Dr. Dalal Alshangiti conducted the workshop "Grooming Family Leaders and Entrepreneurs" for female business families members, which focused on presenting and highlighting the role of the mother in building leadership and entrepreneurial thinking among children to have the future role in taking control of their family businesses. The participants' response was positive as the lecturers were excel in the material presented and the participants’ desire in discussing these subjects, which some may think are of less importance than other subjects while they are one of the main motives for the continuity of companies through generations. The workshop activities varied between individual, group, written and oral activities. The audience was very interactive with the workshop, the varied discussion and the presentation method, which was a great motivation for the success of the workshop.
Dr. Saleh Al-Shebil, an assistant Professor of Marketing at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), delivered the workshop "Creativity and Innovation", which was dedicated to men and women of business families, aimed at clarifying the creative and innovative role in family businesses by addressing some of the concepts and activities that drive the mind to start the creative process within the company or enterprise. The fruitful interaction of the participants was the real motivation behind the success of this workshop.
Dr. Alshebil was able to provide an interactive environment among the audience to present creative ideas by presenting some of the products that we see in our daily lives. Some of them may be considered to be the ones that cannot be improved and developed to give participants the vision to develop these products.
The workshop focused on identifying a set of methodologies for creative thinking, how to generate and innovate ideas, and re-formulate problems and cultivate a culture of creativity.
At the end of the workshops, the presenters and the participants thanked Awuael for organizing these workshops for the business families, hoping to provide more similar works on important topics needed by business family members in the future.
